“You are what you eat and you are what you think.” That is one of those divine laws of the Universe, you are literally “what you think”. Your eating is a result of your thinking AND so is everything else in your life. That gets a THAT WAS EASY button right? Think positively and you’re all set? See the sunshine even though it’s a cloudy, maybe even rainy day? Actually, NO!. Notice how positive thinking doesn’t carry the day, it doesn’t really work? That’s because positive thinking, like most other quick fixes is a ‘quick fix’ and not a lasting, effective one.
Sometimes we search so hard for the positive in people, relationships, ourselves, our jobs, our lives that it eventually becomes evident, positive isn’t there, but if we search hard enough we will pretend it is. We will make Believe.
Thinking positively is like smearing frosting on a mud pie. No matter how good the frosting is, the pie still tastes like mud. If you want to change the results you’re getting in your life, you have to stop making mud pies, literally. I’m not talking about some ‘control your thoughts’ routine. I am saying you get EXACTLY what you think. EXACTLY, not sort of, not kind of, exactly what you think. So if you think you’re controlling your thoughts, you will control your thoughts. If you think you will have a bad day, you will have a bad day. If you think you’re dumb, you are dumb.
If you think this blog is dumb, weird, and makes no sense. That I am some sort of freak.. Then thats it, you have created your perception of me and all those things… well that is what I will be TO YOU. See what I mean? We decide on what and how we perceive. But.. IF YOU think I am weird and my blog is dumb, ONLY I can let that effect ME.
If you take on NOT complaining, justifying, or blaming, you will literally have a breakthrough in time.
Is too you much of our time is spent thinking or speaking thoughts about what you don’t want and these are the 3 most common forms. Literally, you will have so much time you won’t know what to do with it. I’m serious. Complaining, blaming and justifying of any kind doesn’t work to generate the results you want, ever. There is no purpose in any of it except to avoid responsibility. Avoiding responsibility gets you nowhere. Taking responsibility gets you where you want to go.
The thinking that is categorically complaining, blaming or justifying is very human so everyone does it. We learn it from others, then we start to practice it and it soon becomes habit. Then it becomes part of our own programming. But it is designed to support you in ‘getting through’ your life, not ‘enjoying’ your life. While you are complaining, blaming and justifying, your life is passing you by. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a natural approach to complain, blame, and justify, BUT it’s not an effective approach because you are what you think. If you think in complaints, you get more of what you’re complaining about. If you think that something in your life is someone else’s fault, you will get more things in your life resulting as that person’s ‘fault’, and lastly, if you are justified in being a jerk, being annoyed, or being depressed, you are always going to be that way.
Whether you take this on or not is your own free will, but I promise you will get what you think, and what you say, either way. And generally by time it travels around the great big Universe there is interest accumulated.
