What happens when two post bariatric surgery friends take a day to relax on the beach? “Give up?”
We get sunburned….Cause there is this thing about enjoying life so much that time stands still.. BUT, even though time stood still we still got sunburned LOL.
We started the day at 9:00 AM a short ride in the car listening to Deva Premal and Mitten. Breakfast of Champions was served at Aruba’s Beach Breakfast. At 7 Years post op I am not afraid of the Buffet in a place like this. A bowl of fresh fruit and scrambled eggs with salsa and my pouch is full. This meal though was not so much about the food, as it was the company I was with.
Very little food for the pouch, but a lot of laughing, talking and sunshine for the soul on the deck of Auruba’s.
We laughed and played like two little girls as we swam through schools and schools of fish. Then we had to drag ourselves off the beach to go home when we realized we had been there for 5 hours….and there was no worries of fitting in or being “normal”. We got to just be free.
Life’s a beach!!!! Enjoy the waves and ride through them, rest assured you won’t drown as they come crashing around you, but you will come through shining on the other side!!
Be well, be love and be loved!
