My daughter Megan has been on a cake baking frenzy! Since I live a million and 42 miles or 16 hours of driving away from Megan, I have watched her cake baking skills from a FaceBook page.
I have watched her grow and progress to making cakes on a professional level. Quiet frankly, I am proud of my girl. I see the love and creativity that goes into every cake. My daughter has promised me my own special cake, also.
From a distance I have watched Megan create each persons cake from afar and watched how happy they are when the see the finished product. Now, it’s my turn to have my own special cake. Oh, yes I know I can’t have sugar and I know that these are fondant. Please don’t go there. You are missing the point if you just went there!
What an honor to have a hand made cake decorated just for me, by my daughter. Her main ingredient in her cakes is always the same….”LOVE”
Now I wonder what my cake will be? Will it have rainbows and peace signs? Will it be decorated in Dolly Parton goodies like lipstick and high heels? Will it be a nature theme with trees and flowers? Or will it be a Cherokee Indian cake with Turtle Rattles and a Tee-Pee?
One thing I know for sure she is making me a Mayan Sun/Moon symbol.
How exciting this is as each cake is hand painted and created by her loving hands. What a gift to receive for any day…
What are you looking forward to for Christmas this year?
