NSV number ???? I have lost count, but… this one impacts me greatly. Looking back I can’t remember the last time I had leather boots that came up over my calves. I know it was before my children were born. I did a lot of running in High School and I had great legs, short, but muscular. As I got older and stopped running and packed on the pounds.. my calves turned to heffers!!
I could never wear the high leather Harley boots when I was riding motorcycles… my legs were just too large!
It was something that eventually I learned to accept. Still I longed for boots.
I have tried on at least 100 pairs of boots since my bariatric surgery only to find disappointment when the zipper will not close over my calves.
Honestly, I had given up hope of ever wearing boots again. Then my friend Jill suggested we ride bikes to get slim calves. Get out, can you just shoot me? I mean I don’t really imagine myself in the bike shorts and a helmet on A1A, but I do believe her.
Last week we were going through her closet getting rid of clothes that have gotten too large for her when this crazy look came in her eyes. I have boots from London she says…. umm ok. Well who knew that over there in the land of Harry Potter (yes I was in Hogwarts dining hall when I visited London) they do magic on their boots ❤ Now if only I can learn to fly.
She pulls these babies out and said Try these on T…. and here ya go…. a favorite NSV for me…
You should have seen me as I slid that zipper up and strutted around the room like a peacock… I think I even did a happy dance.
These boots are made for walkin’… and that’s just what I’ll do…. or maybe a little bike ridin’!
What is your favorite NSV??? And what is your favorite exercise??? And just tell does NOT all women love boots?
