Have you ever felt like you had so much on your shoulders that there could be an elephant riding piggy back? Do you ever find yourself roaming over to the negative playground and allowing yourself to hang out with negative thoughts?
I have been thinking lately, quite honestly that is scary, I think I would feel so much happier if I quit thinking and just started loving. But none the less, I looked back to my marriage where I was very unhappy. When I left you would have thought I would have thrown my arms in the air and rejoiced and felt as if a load had been lifted. Yet, I hung out in the negative thoughts and asked myself how am I going to make it? I told myself I CAN’T more times than I can count…
Things would have been so much easier if I would have just thrown my arms in the air and rejoiced and been POSITIVE!
I can’t change the last 40 years, but I can certainly learn from them. What I have learned is that negativity breeds negativity. The longer I hang out with negative thoughts or think them in my mind… THE MORE NEGATIVE THOUGHTS COME… I am making a pact with myself to cut harmful negativity from my life.
The opposite is true too. The more we speak positively of ourselves and others, the more positive we see. Imagine how much positivity will bring blessings to OTHERS around us, just by removing our own negativity.
I absolutely adore Dr. Wayne Dyer, and I have been listening to his talks, and reading his books for awhile now. He is the complete opposite of Dr. Phill LOL. I think Dr. Phill is Dr. Feel Bad, and Dr. Dyer is Dr. Feel Good(I am not sure if this is a pun or not LOL) I was watching Dr. Dyer the other night on TV, he said if you want to feel good hang out with people that make you feel good. He went so far as to say his voice mail was something like this.” Hello, this is _______ I want to feel good. If your message is not designed to make me feel good, then you have the wrong number and you might want to hang up! ” That made me smile. 😉 Maybe it’s time to change my message :)!!!!
The feeling of having unlimited energy, and that amazing feeling of health and wellness, are all on the frequency of feeling good! Look at all the good things about you!
Now, I am thinking from my motivational desk. I want to feel good and the best way to do that is to love ME.
Do you feel good about yourself? Do you see the positives in your reflection? If not are you willing to turn a 180 and see the “sunny side of life?”
I challenge you to remove all negative thoughts from your day. When they creep in, blast them with positive force. Focus on all the wonderful things about you.
This weekend I went to the ocean and took a walk, while I walked I picked up little stones along the way. For each stone I thought of a negative thing in my life, I said a little blessing to each stone and threw them one by one into the ocean, then I said a little blessing to the ocean for washing those stones….It was like lifting weight off my shoulders. I will keep doing that until I know the elephant on my shoulders has been washed away!
