T.G.I.F. Thank God it’s Friday right?
I realized today, I might be listening to, TOO much Eric Clapton. I stood in the kitchen and listened to 5 year old Leila sing “Barbie, I’ve got you on your knees!”
So, I hear we had a Royal wedding in the middle of the night. I remember back in the day 1981 that I was so excited about the Royal wedding of Princess Diana. I could not wait to see the wedding, of course I had the mindset even then (age 11) Princess Diana was a Princess before she ever met Charles. Seriously, Charles you were the lucky one, you could have been a bit nicer.
These days, I slept through the Royal
slitting of the throat, wedding.
I was anxious to look at photos though, just like fashion show, Royal weddings bring many extreme personalites and styles. I love that. I don’t care who you are if you have the gonads to be who you really are, no matter how extreme your style, I am a fan.
Here are my thoughts on the Royal Wedding…
Oh, my gosh… what a hat. I don’t know, I guess I have the neve to wear that, but why would I want to? You might be an attention WHORE if you wear a hat like that to somebody elses wedding.
There is one thing for sure, kids always shed light on any subject. I am living in a room at a friends house these days. She has a little girl named Leila that is 5 years old. Some of her comments have made me laugh so hard I need to start wearing depends. Today while looking through photos of the wedding, she told me they watched the “show” at school. She pointed to Princess Kate and told me “That is a real princess, not like Cinderella, she lives in a real house, somewhere”
I do have to say, it made my heart heavy when Leila looked at me so sadly and said, “I wish I was her, she is beautiful, she has straight hair not like mine” ” I like her more than me” I informed the sweet little 5 year old princess, that she is beautiful and very unique and God made her with curly hair for a reason, and her job is to find out what’s the reason” She was very excited about that.
