My journey has brought a wonderful human being into my life. I am staying in Leila’s room. She is only 5 yet she gave up her room so that I could have a place to keep my things and a place to sleep during this time in my life. When I first moved in Leila said to me, “I don’t mind that you are going to sleep in my room, and I only ask one thing. You see that princess Mirror?” and she pointed to a mirror on the wall. “Yes, I see it” I answered. “Don’t break it, it is important to me”
Then she asked “while you are staying in my room do you have any rules for me about touching your stuff?”
Pretty cool that at 5 she knows to watch out for herself and her reflection and to also extend concern and care to others.
Leila is a little doll. She gets on her moms computer and makes video’s of herself and sometimes she even downloads them to my FB page when I am no where around. I always laugh and smile. Her personality and her excitement is contagious as she talks about and asks “her fans” on my FB page to go to www. Leila.com and to “like” her on this video.
Now, there is no http://www.Leila.com but in her heart, and her vision, there is… and it is a beautiful thing.
I am truly blessed by the words of this 5 year old who so kindly gave up her princess room and trundel bed so this middle age lady who has taken a unexpected turn on her journey would have a place to stay.
So the other day… Leila is making up songs and making a video of herself and in the song she makes a peace sign and sings “I love to throw the peace sign!”
I ask her who do you like to throw that sign to? To mom, myself , my fans and well the world.
Now that might not seem like such a big deal to you… but lets think about it… at five years old she knows to be thankful for
The people who “love” her
and the “world” aka UNIVERSE.
No wonder she wants me to take care of her Princess Mirror, she sure holds up a beautiful reflection to the world.
I try to be more like Leila. If we could just be child like and see the world the eyes of a child, without being “childish” would would all be great visionaries.
I’m not perfect Leila, I still make mistakes and forget to throw the peace sign all the time and to everybody. I am doing the best I can do at this point in my life, and I am growing and learning each day…..Until its just natural 😉
